We've been dealing with his eczema for quite some time and have tried a lot of other products. We keep coming back to this one for a couple of reasons:1. It doesn't irritate his skin (no fragrance or essential oils) 2. Has glycerin, petroleum jelly, and mineral oil - the triad of moisturizers all in one 3. Has dimethicone to help protect his skin from abrasion 4. Has colloidal oatmeal to help with the itching We put it on right after his evening bath (to lock in the moisture) and once or twice a day as needed. This won't "cure" eczema but it does help keep the skin moisturized and my son definitely scratches less when we use it (in fact when he's itchy he asks for "lotion"). When he flares up we combine this with a basic hydrocortisone (our pediatrician recommended getting hydrocortisone ointments which are generally just petroleum jelly and... My pediatrician was no help and said there was nothing I could do for my son because the skin on the face is so delicate. After trying every remedy under the sun and seeing no lasting results, I took my baby to a dermatologist...along with the bottles and tubes of ointments and creams I'd been trying. He told me not to use any of them because they all had extracts that could cause an allergic reaction in my son's skin. He recommended Baby Aveeno Soothing Relief Moisture Cream.
